Crypto Fund Assets Could Double This Year, Research Suggests

Crypto Fund Research sees potential for crypto funds to double their assets this year.

Total digital currency fund assets could rise twofold this year, with the number of crypto-focused fund launches likely to be almost 100 based on developments so far in 2018, according to a study by Crypto Fund Research.

The number of cryptocurrency hedge funds launched in 2017 exceeded 100 within a total of nearly 700 new hedge funds. This figure represents 14% of the new hedge fund launches although crypto funds account for less than 1% of the estimated $3.2 trillion of assets held by hedge funds.
